麻雀可算是城市中最親人動物鄰居，根據觀鳥會去年麻雀普查，有32萬隻麻雀於市區築巢棲息。
有無發現去郊遊好少見到佢地？原來麻雀主要依靠城市中人類活動生存，特別與人親近。
雖然麻雀喺香港好常見，但原來喺歐美嘅數量有下跌嘅趨勢，所以唔好認為見到麻雀係必然啊！
Eurasian Tree Sparrows are wide-spread in Hong Kong urban areas. From the survey by Hong Kong Birdwatching Society, around 320,000 Eurasian Tree Sparrows live in the city.
You may find them less often in the countryside as they prefer to reside and nest near human residence.
Even though they are very common in Hong Kong, their population in Western countries is declining. Therefore, don't take it for granted and concern them more.
